IMO is the market leader in medical vocabularies for EHR systems and IMO® Clinical Interface Terminology products are embedded in SRS Diagnoses and Procedures applications:

IMO® Problem (IT) Terminology – this comprehensive, clinician-friendly terminology database lets physicians enter a diagnosis in the patient Problem List without altering the language they would normally use for that diagnosis. These 260,000 terms are then seamlessly mapped to standard nomenclatures and billing codes, including ICD-9, ICD-10, and SNOMED CT® eliminating the need for physicians to remember awkward and cumbersome coding language when documenting in the EHR

IMO® Procedure (IT) Terminology – this database of over 215,000 provider-friendly terms offers clinically relevant procedure terminology over a wide variety of uses within the EHR to ensure that all codes are orderable, performable and chargeable. With this product, clinician workflow is maintained, the need to remember CPT®, LOINC®, ICD Procedures Vol. III, ICD-10-PCS, SNOMED® or HCPCS-specific terminology is eliminated, resulting in accurate documentation and the submission of correct billing codes.

Also included is IMO® Vocab (IT) , a curated reference look-up built for both searchability and facile distribution of reference and administrative terminologies with a simple interface to approximately 800 meaningful use value sets for both application interface requirements. In addition, IMO® Vocab (IT)is incorporated to report on clinical quality measures.

Well over 2,500 hospitals and 350,000 physicians use IMO’s Clinical Interface Terminology solutions daily and most report improved clinician utilization and satisfaction. The accuracy of IMO’s interface terminology was found to be ‘nearly perfect’ by an independent study published by the Centers for Disease Control*. For more information, visit
